Great clean tone, perfect with fuzzes and classic overdrives, not for extreme higain metal. Overall it reminds me of a Fender Jazzmaster or Tele with Fender Wide Range humbuckers, something bright like Radiohead or Sonic Youth. The sound of this axe exceeds all expectations. It appears pretty ascetic like Taiwanese Vertigo X, but if you look closely you'll see the difference at least in rosewood and maple. Instead of fancy veneers, bindings, neck-thru and branded pickups, this Vertigo JP STD just sports top quality selected wood, Gotoh hardware, flawless craftsmanship and wearproof frets. And this is occasionally just enough to beat any Chinese or Korean brother. It is the rarest gem of Fernandes JP Standard series from the modern era when almost all production is moved to continental Asia and only top series production left in Japan. Here is not another cheap worn-out japan guitar from the '90s.
